Campus Ministry - Wenatchee Valley College

Jessica Mayo serves as the Director of the Campus Ministry and Chi-Alpha pastor at WVC and is currently the only active full-time missionary to the 3500+ students who attend the school. The major focus of the ministry is reconnecting students to Christ, whether that means reaching students who have never heard of Jesus before or building a space in which Christian students can feel free to explore and ask questions about their faith.

Right now our ministry consists of a weekly service, two bible studies, a leadership team of both students and community volunteers, intentional disciplining of Christian and non-Christian students, and regular outreach efforts.

Robert and Pricilla Carpenter are missionaries in Pakistan through WorldVenture.

Please read their latest letters posted on the church Bulletin Board.

The Carpenters have been serving the Sindhi people of southern Pakistan for the past 14 years. WorldVenture operates Shikarpur Christian Hospital, where Priscilla is the doctor and Robert has oversight of the maintenance and construction of mission properties.

Sindhis are largely agrarian, given to hospitality and proud of their Islamic culture which has a strong bent toward folk Islam. Less than 2 dozen people minister to a population of some 22 million, a firmly held belief system that requires many contacts to allow the gospel to penetrate.

Flying H Youth Ranch

The Flying H Youth Ranch is a Christian residential program for teenage boys who are struggling within their families.

Founded in 1962, the Ranch has served over 1,000 boys and families, emphasizing concern for helping the entire family and encouraging faith in Jesus Christ and the Bible.

We exist to bring these young men and their families to God's perspective and standards of family living. Our desire is to enable the boys to build and re-build relationships. In addition to this we want to help them learn to overcome destructive decisions, have accomplishment academically and physically, form moral and responsible codes as well as learn discipline and obedience while learning to view themselves as unique and valuable.

Flying H Youth Ranch is an 18 month program designed for difficult and troubled teenage boys. Our program focuses on long-term change, unlike the usually short-term progress that military schools and boot camps provide. We have assisted hundreds of families who can no longer control their son and are fearful for his future.
