According to Pastor Craig Rayment the 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat exceeded expectations in every way this Halloween. The North Shore Bible Church’s parking lot held a record 38 vehicles ready to hand out candy to about 350 kids and grown up kids. “Many folks put in a ton of effort to bring this event together and I want to thank each and every one,” said Pastor Craig.
Craig went on to say that North Shore holds several community events throughout the year and it is our way of giving back to this amazing community we are part of.
There were many exciting moments but the highlight of the night was when Dale England, Manson Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year for 2016 brought his yellow bird over the parking lot and made two drops of candy.
North Shore provided hot chocolate, popcorn and something new this year s’mores. A new couple to the church brought a pair of live hawks perched in the back of their truck and the youngsters really enjoyed seeing them up close and personal.
It only took an hour and a half for everyone to run out of candy. Those handing out the candy had just as much fun as the kids as we really got to see some great costumes. Kim and Jerry Ustanik brought their haunted van, it was a big hit last year.
We look forward to a bigger and better 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat in 2017.
